Discovering Alexander McQueen Creators

To keep creativity and fashion alive- That’s the mission that creative teams from the most important fashion brands have during this quarantine period, and some of them are making something great out of it! This time we are entering into Alexander McQueen’s creative team to discover their beautiful project: McQueen Creators. 

Since the lockdown started, all fashion brands have encouraged their fans to stay at home, and stay safe. During this period they are challenging to keep connected to their consumers through social media, a channel to share creativity and art.

McQueen Creators is a weekly project that invites users to build up a creative community, by sharing Art and taking part in the weekly artistic challenges that Alexander McQueen’s team exposes on their Instagram account and on the web page. 

Each week there is a different challenge which includes an artistic activity, but always with an original component that requires to be quarantined.

By using objects that you can find at home, or activities that can be done during the lockdown, as going for a walk, McQueen’s team is challenging people to create art pieces related to the brand. 

Some of the ideas are: doing a painting inspired on their designs, creating your own print at home using the iconic McQueen’s print for inspiration, to draw silhouettes of the SS20 collections, to experiment with embroidery,  to photograph nature during walks and taking inspiration from all the designs. 

This is a fantastic idea that will keep the brand inside people’s lives, and at the same time a perfect opportunity for everyone to stay active and be creative by taking the chance to participate in each challenge.

Every week the McQueen’s team is choosing and posting the best art pieces. By building up this community, Alexander McQueen is making its online space a beautiful place to go in, where everyone is sharing Art, and each week something new and impressive comes in.

These projects are the beautiful contributions that fashion brands are bringing to the online world, trying to keep us positive and keeping creativity alive during this crisis.
