Celine by Hedi Slimane- Portrait of a Performer/ of An artist
During his time at the helm of Celine, Hedi Slimane has launched the Portait Of A Performer / Portrait Of An Artist project, spotlighting talent that fit under the house’s creative umbrella laid out by the French designer.
During lockdown, this program has taken a new and necessary turn: Slimane has reached out to his collaborators in music and art to create a snapshot of their time in isolation. The first series includes US icon Joan Jett, Glasgow band Lucia and the Best Boys, Temples frontman James Bagshaw, Paris band Oracle Sisters and artists Shawn Kuruneru and Carlos Valencia.
Recorded by the individuals at their home following a conversation with Slimane, these filmic snapshots portray each subject filling their time with their art – encouraging the idea of using this period of uncertainty to work on your craft.
