Our tips to take cool pictures at home

While half of the world’s population is under lockdown, we have already noticed a huge difference on social media content. We no longer see travel, street style, or colorful food posts.

But, at the same time, everyone is becoming more and more creative. When you find yourself with limited resources, you come up with the best ideas! Instead of focusing on the lack of possibilities to have a good photography and maintain your personal aesthetic on your social media, start thinking creatively and find new ways of creating inspiring content!

Here are some tips to create beautiful content at home :

  • Style your favourite comfy clothes

It’s time for hoodies and sweatpants to shine! The oversized trend is stronger than ever, combining the street style and comfort, it is the perfect outfit choice for staying at home.

  • Play with shadows

A tool that we can all easily use to create a wide variety of photography possibilities, is daylight. When the sunlight gets through our window, it’s a perfect opportunity to get creative and try to take a good picture. Different ideas can be made with this simple trick, by using an object, reflecting a shadow on a wall, or putting yourself in front of the window, facing the light, and play!

  • Use a mirror

An easy way to create an inspiring photo is to use a beautiful mirror, reflecting strategic parts: a hand, an outfit, the mouth… parts that will give sense to the image and evokes a story behind it. But it’s true that not everyone has a beautiful mirror at home, with a dazzling gold frame. In that case, you can play painting on the mirror with lipstick, or creating a frame effect with shower steam.

  • Get inspired by your daily routine

Most of the time, effortless scenarios are the perfect situations to take the best photo. Use your daily tasks and picture yourself while doing them! It’s easy to create a beautiful picture about something you feel enthusiasm and love. Take photos while cooking, painting, having a bath, reading, playing with your pet, etc… You can use everyday objects like face-mask, coffee, pasta, pizza or newspapers and a hair towel.

This can be a great opportunity to have fun during quarantine and keeping up with your regular post on social media! Remember always to be creative, don't put limits to yourself and enjoy the process. Maybe you will fail at the beginning, but you will get an amazing result by trying.

Stay safe, stay home & stay creative!
