Flowers are the beautiful and warming piece of nature that we are always trying to keep at home. But they aren’t timeless, and we always end up throwing them away and getting new ones.

Before getting rid of them you can always use them to make your creative ideas come alive! You can really add flowers everywhere and give them a new life to decorate a space or shoot some pictures, for instance, an original idea you can easily try is making flower ice cubes!

This is a great idea that you can use to decorate your cocktails during a dinner with friends, a date at home, or at any party or event! Ice cubes will be the perfect finish touch to your drinks and it will look beautiful and unique.

  • For trying this you only need an ice cube tray and flowers. To make the water clear and put the flowers in the position that you love the most, you first have to put hot water inside the tray and leave it for some hours in the freezer.

  • Check it and put it out once you see there is a thin solid layer of ice on top of each cube.

  • Clean the flowers with water and cut them to choose the ones that you like!

  • After that, remove the ice layer on each tube and place the flower carefully inside. Add again the ice layer to the cube, and once you are done with all the ice cube tray, put it back into the freezer.

After some hours the result will be beautiful flower ice cubes!

You can already include them at your drinks to make your cocktails extraordinary! Trying at home these ideas is very easy and quick. Be creative and try with pieces of fruits or candies! You will love the results and, in the case of flowers, you will take more advantages from them, by giving flowers a second life and use, before getting rid of them!
