What are your sources of inspiration ?

Art and architecture. In particular the artists of the Memphis group, it is a movement born in the 80s in Italy, heir to the Bauhaus it mixes design and architecture. The universe of Ettore Sottsass, of Nathalie Dupasquier inspires me more particularly.

An inspiring brand?

Hermès which is an innovative, timeless brand and a reference in the French luxury industry. I find very inspiring how Hermes built its brand DNA around craftsmanship and leather.

What is your greatest pride?

In 2017 when we opened the first Louvreuse store, rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. The scenography and decoration of the Louvreuse boutique is halfway between the contemporary art gallery and the Parisian boudoir, it is a vibrant and pop universe in the image of the brand.

Your next big challenge in 2020?

We would like to offer ever more responsible fashion. I am very sensitive to the sourcing of the materials we use and I advocate transparency in the manufacturing process. I'm also interested in new ways of consuming fashion. For example, we offer a bag rental service at the store, this is a first in Paris for an independent leather goods store.

Your way to recharge your batteries?

Museums are often inspiring places for the architecture of the building and the exhibitions of the artworks, I like to walk around in Musée d’Orsay, Palais de Tokyo, Le Louvre whenever I have time.

Your favorite art?

Art Nouveau, a total art that has shattered all protocols with an aesthetic of curved lines and a large place reserved for nature in representations.

Your artistic crush in 2019?

I really like the work and the universe of Ana Popescu, a French visual artist based in Vienna. I discovered his work on Instagram, we have since shared and discussed our respective inspirations and we are preparing a collaboration on one of our bags which will be released this year.

Who do you dream of collaborating with?

With a museum or an art gallery.

A restaurant to recommend?

« Cantine respectueuse » in rue d'Assas. It’s a Parisian restaurant where you can have a quick and healthy lunch with fresh and always delicious products.

A museum / exhibition to recommend?

Without a doubt, the Louvre in particular the Cour Marly where you can see the sculptures of the Grand Siècle. I like to walk around and get lost there ... I studied art history for 3 years at the Ecole du Louvre and I still haven't finished to discover all the artworks of the museum.

Your next trip?

In the mountains for a few days of vacation, I can’t wait to be there.

A book to advise?

"On n’y voit rien" by Daniel Arasse. These are short fictions that teach us to look at an artwork. It’s written in a free and very funny tone.

A quote / mantra to share?

"Better done than perfect"

Any advice for someone who wants to live from their passion?

"Think it. Want it. Get it"
